BioWelcome! I'm a 32 year old asexual female and this journal is where I talk about my experiences, thoughts and opinions as an asexual girl in a sexual world.
As well as being asexual I'm also more or less aromantic and have never really done the relationship thing. Unsurprisingly, I'm also childfree, and very happy with that. So I'll also be talking about those aspects of my life as well.
You won’t find too much asexual angst in this journal, because I’m happy with my status. Basically, this journal is just for my musings about sex and asexuality, the sexual world we live in, my own thoughts and experiences, the asexual lifestyle and any related topics that pop into my head.
I have a personal journal elsewhere on LJ, so this one will be entirely devoted to talking about asexuality, aromanticism, and related topics. If you think you might be interested in reading, then you're welcome to add me.

A few notes about this journal:
- Anyone - asexual, sexual or unsure - is welcome to read this journal. One of the aims of this journal is to get asexuality a little bit more "out there" and so if anyone who isn't asexual but wants to learn more about it wants to read, then that's great.
- This journal will be largely public. If I make any posts that talk about sex in a more detailed way, they'll be Friends Only, rated adult content and under a cut, so you'll need to be over eighteen and have your birthdate on your profile. However most, if not all, posts will be public and won't go into any sexual detail.
- Because this journal is public I respectfully ask that those who do know me please not use my real name or mention any details from my other journal here.
- If you add me, I'll add you back (it may take a couple of days at times), but I won't be reading and commenting on your journal. This is a single-topic journal and I also have a personal journal with a friends list... I can't keep up with two. If you think we would really hit it off then you can ask to be added at my personal journal, but I'm quite protective of my friends list there and may say no. Please don't take it personally!
- Comments and questions are welcome from everyone. I may not always answer your comment, although I will try to answer any questions that are asked. However, I also encourage you to talk - respectfully - amongst yourselves in comments.
- This journal is, of course, only about my personal experiences, opinions and thoughts and I don't claim to speak for other asexual people. If your experiences, opinions and thoughts are different then by all means feel free to share them, but please don't get aggressive with me (or others) for having a different view.
- Any childish, insulting or aggressive comments will be deleted. If you're here because you think it's funny to make jokes at the expense of the weird asexual people, then please do everyone a favour and go get a life.
